My primary focus has been the integration of video,
puppetry, and animation. I am fascinated with
puppetry’s unique ability to share story
and manifest fantastic dreamscapes, as well as
the how the puppeteer’s connection to the
puppet allows their body to mutate and manipulate
physical borders, thereby assuming a new form
and identity. I have created creature effects
for film/video and theater and enjoy the collision
of conceptualization, design, engineering and
performance involved in the process. Currently,
I’m developing a puppet show for children,
focusing on the creation of positive associations
with healthy foods. The play will feature a new
crew of trick marionettes and an original home
grown story. I am also a novice accordionist and
stilt-walker.
