Tyson Ayers is a Bay Area Interarts composer, painter, instrument builder, and multimedia performance artist. Tyson’s innovative fusion of the visual arts, music, film, and spoken word seek to unite these diverse forms into a single vision and experience. His experience as a director and organizer includes MAPP: Mission Arts and Performance Project, Living Pulse Project, Interarts Ensemble, and a driving force within Million Fishes Arts Collective. He is constantly building on his steady fan-base and has shown with the de Young Museum, SomArts, the MAPP, Chrysalis Ensemble, and other arts organizations. Tyson graduated cum laude from Whitman College in an independently designed major combining music composition, painting, and writing. His thesis was a four movement symphony with live music, films of paintings, spoken word, and a 29 person crew.
